148 - Busyness

The feeling of being hurried is not usually the result of living a full life and having no time. It is on the contrary born of a vague fear that we are wasting our life. 41 - Key to Life

Thoughts that combine my practices, yoga and photography; The ancient sages said the key to life is balance. Balance in every layer of our being, but what are we balancing? The answer is the three qualities of nature, they are called gunas. Roughly translated as (mass or inertia), (vibrancy or dynamism) and (luminosity or the quality of light). When I'm able to balance these qualities in me my photography is fun and I get better results. When my images convey these qualities in a way that connects the viewer to nature's dance to balance the gunas I am grateful. Canon 5DmkII, 20mm 1/45sec at f/9.5 iso100 +CPL
