138 - Imagine

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

John Lennon

What a marvellous co-incidence with Buddha Day (Visakha Puja)this week! The Full Moon day of May is celebrated throughout the Buddhist world being when the Buddha was born, became enlightened and passed into parinibbana.

Just as John Lennon 'imagines' Nirvanna... The Buddha REALISED it and the effect is still having a profound benefit on the world two and a half thousand years on...

Thank you, Mike! May all beings be well and happy!

May we all dream on!! If it were not for my dreams, my life would be a much less interesting journey!

I like Lennon's words paired with this image. The fisheye shot of a round subject gives it a feeling of roundness like a sphere. That, combined with the green, blue, and gray tones, makes this scene reminiscent of the Earth itself (or herself :-)

I like it!!!
