126 - Miracles

People are always looking for miracles. But I think the real miracle is to be on and part off this earth. Every day we are part of countless miracles which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, incredible clouds, mountains and rivers millions of years old, curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes. All is a miracle.

This photo is excellent! The reflection off the lake is nearly flawless, and being in B&W adds a whole 'nother level of detail!

Miracles indeed. If we could just keep our eyes and minds open to them...

I love this scene and those amazing clouds. I will side with Craig's critique (on TME) and say that the high-contrast areas on the cliff face on the right are a little distracting from the great clouds over on the left.

At the very least, I think you could burn the right vertical edge down as well as a bit of the bottom right edge. That would help keep the viewer's eye from running right and out of the frame.

Anyway, stunning scene. I was way deep in the canyon when this was going on :-)

I like the color version too ;-)

All is miracle ... I love it!
Nothing more to say really!
Thanks all for your generous and inspiring comments. This was taken on a workshop given by The Mindful Eye (see link on this blog). TJ was also there.

TJ, I would have normally gone in the canyon with everyone else, but for some reason I decided to stay out by the river. After these clouds appeared I knew why. Thanks...
